Recommended For:
Stallions—A stallion needs stamina and reproductive capacity in order to perform efficiently. Omolene® #200 horse feed contains the extra protein stallions need. When fed as directed, Omolene® #200 contains the proper balance of nutrients to maintain body condition through the demands of breeding season. You can feed a higher rate for stallions actively breeding. Carefully adjust feed intake according to body condition.
Yearlings—Growing foals from one year old to maturity will do best on Omolene® #200 Performance horse feed. It provides the essential protein, energy, minerals and vitamins required by young, growing horses. Feeding rates can be adjusted to match your desired rate of growth.
Broodmares—There are many demands put on a broodmare’s system. That’s why she needs Omolene® #200 Performance horse feed while she’s open and during the last 90 days of gestation. Lactating broodmares can also benefit from the feed, but only if they are fed without their foals. (It is best to feed newborn horses Omolene® #300 horse feed for controlled growth.) After the last 90 days of gestation, the mare should have her feed gradually reduced to prevent obesity.

Purina Mills Omolene® #200 Performance horse feed is formulated for breeding mares, stallions, performance horses and growing horses over one year.
- Feed Omolene® #200 Performance horse feed according to recommended rates. Individual horse variance may require feeding rate adjustment of plus or minus 10%. For more specific feeding recommendations, contact a Purina Mills representative
- Do not feed free-choice
- Feed at regular times (at least twice daily). When feeding rates exceed 1% of body weight, three daily feedings are preferred
- Any feed changes should be made gradually over a period of 7 to 10 days
- Changes in the rate of feeding should not exceed one pound per day for each horse
- Feed along with at least 1-1.5% of horse’s body weight of good quality hay or the equivalent in pasture to make a complete ration
- Have plenty of fresh, clean water available at all times
- Prevent the rapid eating by the horse of any feed stuffs
- Store feed in a dry, well-ventilated area protected from rodents and insects
- Do not feed moldy or insect-infested feed to animals as it may cause illness or death
- This product to be fed to the animal species as directed on the label
- In addition to nutritional care and consultation, be sure to make regular veterinary checkups and farrier appointments part of your horse wellness program
